What "flat rate" actually means

Most league software bills per team, per player, or by tier — so your bill grows every time your league does. Ours doesn't.

  • No per-team fees: 8 teams or 80, the price is the same on League Management.
  • No per-player fees: players and parents never pay Hockey Line anything, and the team app is free.
  • No feature tiers: live scoring, stats, public pages, AI setup, and the API are all included — nothing is upsold later.
  • No seasonal re-buys: your leagues, history, and public pages persist year-round.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — annual billing includes a 14-day free trial. A credit card is required, and you can cancel anytime. You can also browse the live demo rink at /r/demo without an account.

Do players or parents pay anything?

No. The subscription is paid by the rink or league organizer. The Hockey Line mobile app is free for every player, and public league pages are free for anyone to view — no accounts required.

What's the difference between monthly and annual billing?

Annual saves 30% ($105/mo vs $150/mo on League Management, $14/mo vs $20/mo on Starter) and adds two extras on League Management: a 14-day free trial and concierge setup, where our team builds your first season with you.

Can I start on Starter and upgrade later?

Yes. Starter covers one league with up to 10 teams; when you add a second league or an eleventh team, upgrade to League Management from the dashboard and everything carries over.

Are there setup fees, per-seat charges, or paid add-ons?

No. Live scoring, automatic stats, public pages, the mobile app, AI setup, and the agent API are all included in the plan price. There are no setup fees; annual League Management even includes hands-on concierge setup.

Does Hockey Line Leagues collect league registration fees from players?

No — we don't process player registration payments. Organizers collect league fees however they already do today. If in-platform registration and payment collection is essential, we're honest that tools like My League Hero or BenchApp cover that better for now.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — cancel anytime from the dashboard. Monthly plans bill today and stop at the end of the period; your public pages and data remain accessible per our data policies.
